This is such a sad and unexpected loss. I knew Tim through work at Eurocentres and EAQUALS. Tim was greatly respected as a colleague, very knowledgeable and expert in many areas of language education -but always open-minded about new ideas. He was not only a great ELT professional but also a really warm, good person; modest about his own great achievements, interested in others, keen to listen. The last time I saw him was over lunch at Tate Britain. We were sharing ideas about his relatively new consulting role, and how he might develop new opportunities for that. He seemed excited at the new prospects and was already doing well. What a pity he couldn't carry out all his plans. He’ll be much missed. Michael Carrier
