Eulogy for Tim

Created by Sonja 3 years ago
What’s left behind for us now that you are gone? A memory of your smile, your voice-gentle and steady. You asked questions -listened intently.  Modest, talented, handsome and kind, Tim was a true gentleman, a rare soul. It’s a devastating loss to us all, missed  so much by his family and friends.

He entered our lives the Christmas of 1999, Andy and I with Rhiannon and Nick babies at the time, Yan and Lucy with little Daisy shared a lovely Christmas at the thatched cottage in County Clare. We immediately bonded with Lucy’s younger brother and he became a part of our lives, and though he left Ireland to Spain and onto his travels eventually settling back in England, he never left our lives, we stayed in touch and he always made a point of visiting us whenever he was able.

He was a true friend and an non-judgemental confidante and there are so many happy memories, nights out, meals with the family, parties and gatherings. He would always turn up with bottles of wine, flowers, pizzas and nibbles galore and a huge grin!  His generosity was boundless. He was Daisy’s Uncle but became  Rhiannon and Nick’s too , spending many hours entertaining them with his stories and games. He became Rhiannon’s Godfather when she was christened, a role he took on with typical dedication and care.

His marriage to Chan gave him happiness, stability and focus, but he never forgot his friends and he was always there when needed.

Now we have to accept he is gone from this world but the love he has left us is very real and lives on,

We will meet again!
